INSIDE TIPS FOR WAXING YOUR KITTY!

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT  WAXING "DOWN UNDER"!

These days we are all doing our best to keep all the trimmings trimmed! If you are brave and already get a bikini or brazilian waxing or your toying with the idea to try it. Here are some great tips for minimizing the pain as well as keeping the zone clean and looking great! If your a waxing virgin the best way to ease into it is to start with a basic bikini and go in from there. See how you do. If you are confused on what is the difference......

Bikini Basic                 Brazilian- bare or a shape left in front
 Bikini Narrow
Five easy tips to a worry free waxing!

1. Don't forget to take a pain reliever 1 hour before your appointment. This really helps dull the pain. Also ladies if it's close to that time of your period, it will definitly be more painful.

2.There are also great products out on the market. Topical numbing agents that take the edge off. BareEase makes a great kit, you just apply the cream, put the panties on and go!

3. Exfoliation is the most important part of the waxing process. Make sure you are exfoliation the area(s) every day and especially after a waxing. This prevents those nasty ingrown hairs that can be really painful. It may be a little tender after waxing, you can apply hydrocortizone to help the healing.

 4. One thing I know that no one warned me about was the breakouts "down under"!! It is totally normal to breakout in your bikini area it has sweat glands, hair follicles and oil glands that all contribute. Hormonal fluctuations can create more breakouts. Ingrown hairs are the worst when the happen in the V-zone. Exfoliation helps but sometimes we have to pull out the big guns and use a salicylic acid cleanser or even spot treatment.

5. Trim before your come in for your appointment.Especially right in between, front and center! The hair grows every direction so it's easier for the technician to wax (less painful for you). The hair should be 1/4 inch long. (The longer hair hurts more) Also if it's too short it will just hurt and not pull much hair out.

*BONUS TIP* You can stretch out the time between waxing with a growth inhibitor product. There are many brands out there to choose from.

*ALSO HELP OUT, HOLD YOUR SKIN TAUGHT!
There are only so may hands and the more taught the skin the less painful, so make sure to be proactive and ask.

 DON'T FORGET SUNSCREEN!!
Your skin is exposed after waxing protect it!

Fall into Winter with these trends

Well it looks like the fashion trends for this fall aren't for the faint of heart! With leather and fur featured prominently on the runway get ready to have PETA calling....lol Earth tones are coming in strong with soft tans and beiges complemented by rich plums and forest greens. Don't forget to get those lips some camera time with a classic red or red orange in matte.  The minimalist natural look was all over the runway for fall-winter RTW. Most designers chose a soft palettes of earth tone hues for a androgynous look. Large, full brows are going strong into this next season with some pops of color in a twist of the traditional smokey eye.

Quick Summer Tips for Healthy Skin and Body!

You always want to start off with great foods and vitamin supplements! VITAMIN A, VITAMIN C & VITAMIN E are important to have in your skincare as well as taking in oral form. Here are some foods great for keeping young. Foods that have a high concentration of anti-oxidants are always import to all body functions. The skin especially needs those anti-oxidants to feed the cells as well as fight off free radicals inside and out. ( smoke, alcohol, sugars, pollution, UV rays, etc) The rule of thumb is brighter the veggie the more nutrients it has! Try to cook all your veggies on the al dente side in order to not loose benefits. Besides sugars contributing to weight gain there are recent studies showing that sugar in the skin specifically destoys fibroblasts and breaks down collagen and elastin which effects the youthfullness of your skin. Water, Water, Water! cant say it enough!!! Our skin runs on water, benifits of drinking water.  Make sure this summer you're all RE-hydrating your body.

Do you know how much you should be drinking every day?....TRY HYDRATION CALCULATOR

The Use of Anti-Glycation Agent Carnosine In Anti-Aging Topical Skin Care Products

OXYGEN IS THE WORD!!

A-List Celebs get revved up about the Oxygen Buzz...

Madonna uses the Intraceuticals Oxgenation Treatment to Revive, Replenish and Protect with 3 layers of Hyaluronic Acid!

Holds 1000% times it weight in Moisture!!

For the ultimate instant skin-brightening effect, try an Intraceuticals Oxygen treatment. The thin tubular device pumps therapeutic-grade oxygen and an ultra-plumping Hyaluronic Acid serum into the skin, generating an instant glow. The treatment – which feels like a cool breeze – has a hefty Hollywood fan base that includes Madonna, Eva Langoria Parker and Katy Perry.
“I love, love, love them,” gushes Gemini-nominated actor Kristin Booth (Flashpoint).
Booth is referring to Intraceuticals Oxygen treatments, skin-rejuvenating facials that more and more A-listers depend on to get ready for close-ups. (Booth did a series of them in the weeks leading up to TIFF).
Unlike other facials, Intraceuticals aren’t about exfoliation, extractions or goopy layers of cream. And although they make use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy - using oxygen at a higher level of pressure than normal - they’re not exactly about oxygen, either.
“The Intraceuticals facial uses a cooling, forced stream of oxygen via a treatment wand to push a hyaluronic-acid serum from the epidermis (the skin’s surface) to the dermis underneath,” explains Dr. Sandy Skotnicki-Grant, medical director of the Bay Dermatology Centre where Booth goes for her appointments (baydermatologycentre.com). Hyaluronic acid, a molecule the skin also makes, can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. “It hydrates the skin, immediately firms and plumps it up to smooth out fine lines, and gives the complexion a nice glow.”
Eva Longoria, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristen Davis have enjoyed treatments. Justin Timberlake is quoted on the Intraceuticals website (intraceuticals.com) as saying they make his skin “look dope,” and Madonna is reportedly such a fan that she owns at least one Intraceuticals machine.
Starting at $225, the 40-minute treatment is “great for women in their late 30s, 40s and older,” comments Skotnicki-Grant. “Maybe they travel all the time, smoke a little or party a lot. This makes their skin look refreshed and glowy.” Effects are cumulative, so the recommendation is a series of appointments although results are evident after the first. Skotnicki-Grant says the benefits are actually more noticeable around day two or three, and can last up to three weeks.

The coverage is good and it feels really hydrating. The two shades tend to run light so I bought the medium for my skin. Total Soy Complex to brighten and even skin tone while providing SPF 30 sun protection. Natural, light-reflecting minerals and lightweight coverage blend away skin imperfections and immediately bring out skin's natural radiance. Choose from two luminous shades to blend seamlessly with your skin: Fair to Light and Medium. These elegant formulas provide extraordinary natural radiance and coverage at a much smarter price than the leading department store brand. This moisturizer is also oil-free, hypoallergenic, and non-comedogenic.

Perk up the girls in time for summer!

The beauty of the bust depends on the beauty of the décolleté. Its delicate skin, which acts like a natural bra, is exposed to harsh external factors that accelerate the appearance of visible signs of aging: loss of firmness with direct consequences on breast support, a creased appearance, dark spots, etc.
A forerunner in dermo-cosmetics, LIERAC has formulated BUST LIFT, a complementary skincare duo with proven effectiveness on the firmness and beauty of the bust and décolleté.
The Bust Lift spray is a great pick-me-up for the girls and adds a little shimmer to highlight your assets!

Don't neglect your neck & décolleté! Pillow creases, dehydration and pigmentation.

Cohérence Cou

Neck-Firmer Lifting Treatment

Lift, firm and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the delicate skin of the neck and décolleté, beautifying the area. Formulated with ASC III Collagen Accelerating Vectors to stimulate the natural synthesis of Collagen III or the "Collagen of Youth."  Helps add needed moisture to the skin.
$70.00   1.76 OZ.

This product is amazing! It feels like silk and doesn't feel greasy. If you find yourself waking up with pillow creases that just don't seem to fade as fast as they used to this is the product to try! And it smells absolutely yummy you won't forget to put this one on in the morning.

*NEW* at the DeYoung Museum: The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier:

*NEW* at the DeYoung Museum: The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier:
March 24, 2012 - August 19, 2012 Herbst Special Exhibition Galleries. Dubbed fashion’s enfant terrible, Jean Paul Gaultier launched his first prêt-à-porter collection in 1976 and founded his own couture house in 1997. Emerging as a designer in the 1970s, he developed his own dress codes that reflected the changing world around him. The openly gay Gaultier uses his designs to tackle gender and transgender issues through androgynous, gender-bending styles, meanwhile delving even further into some of the darker areas of the sexual revolution. Always provocative, he addresses issues of multiculturalism by bringing ethnic diversity to the Paris runway. Despite the gritty and sometimes controversial context of his collections, the clothes remain beautiful, superbly crafted with the finest dressmaking and detailing skills. This dynamic, multimedia exhibition will include 140 haute couture and prêt-à-porter designs created between the mid-1970s and 2010, along with numerous sketches, archival documents, fashion photographs, and video clips that spotlight Gaultier’s collaborations with filmmakers, choreographers, and musicians, most notably Madonna. For this presentation, Gaultier partnered with the Montreal-based theater company Ubu Compagnie de Création in the design of 30 animated mannequins who talk and sing in playful and poetic vignettes.
